Take part in the 2024 Cyber Skills Survey

Ipsos and Perspective Economics, independent research organisations, are carrying out an important annual government survey on behalf of the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT). The survey explores the growth, support and skills needs of the UK’s cyber sector.

Hundreds of cyber sector businesses have taken part in previous years, and this is your chance to be part of an important long-term study. You can access and complete the survey online here.

Ipsos and Perspective Economics are inviting organisations that offer cyber security products and services to complete the survey. Participation is confidential – DSIT will not know who has taken part.

This research has been endorsed by us, techUK, UKC3, teiss, the Security Awareness Special Interest Group (SASIG) and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).

Taking part will help to influence government policy and support in the area of cyber security. The study will be published on GOV.UK.

Last year's findings

Here are some important findings from last year’s study, which have been used to track progress against the National Cyber Strategy:

  • Cyber security businesses like yours generated £11.9 billion overall for the UK economy.
  • £271 million was invested in UK cyber sector businesses last year.
  • There were 160,035 cyber security job postings online last year.

If you want to get in touch, you can email Ipsos at: DSITCyberSkills@ipsosresearch.com

Find out more, including Ipsos’ privacy notice, on the GOV.uk website.

Complete the survey.
