Careers and learning
The UK Cyber Security Council supports the professional development of those working in or aspiring to work in the cyber security profession. It seeks to support employers and individuals as they make career-shaping decisions, with advice on cyber security skills, professional development, and recognition through certification and Chartered Status.
To help build and maintain public confidence in the cyber security profession, the Council operates a Code of Ethics for participating organisations and individual professionals. These provide guiding principles within which the participating organisations and individual professionals can demonstrate good practice.
Diversity and inclusivity
Eliminating actual or perceived barriers to entering or progressing within the cyber security profession is a core aim for the UK Cyber Security Council. The Council will promote cyber security as a career option for people of all ages and backgrounds, whether in education, looking to change career or already on an existing cyber career path.
