London South East Colleges (LSEC) has announced a new partnership with security software vendor McAfee. The organisations will jointly run a collection of activities such as careers sessions, workshops and placements over the rest of the year; the first session will take place on 30 March 2021 in the form of a virtual overview of security for both students and staff.

The aim is to bring elements of the real world to students’ learning, to supplement the academic elements of their education. Examples are Q&A sessions involving members of McAfee’s team and a new platform that profiles McAfee staff members in an attempt to raise students’ awareness of what cyber security staff do and the kinds of role available in commercial organisations.

LSEC is a Further Education (FE) college with eight campuses around south-east London. Its web site has more detail about the new partnership with McAfee.
