The Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) has announced that its 2021 security conference will take place from 9-11 November 2021.

Originally founded in 1993, the role of JISC is to provide networking and specialist computing services to the Higher Education sector. Although targeted at educational establishments, the topics it deals with – and hence the content of the conference – is relevant in a much wider range of markets.

The content and timetable have yet to be announced. But, if it bears any resemblance to the previous year’s event it will combine a range of subjects and skills areas: the 2020 programme includes topics such as online safeguarding, the Cyber Essentials accreditation, the challenges – including security – of remote working during the Covid-19 pandemic and cyber insurance. On the subject of the 2020 conference, which ran from 3-5 November 2020, recordings of the talks and presentations are available online.

Registrations for the 2021 conference open on 29 April - more details.
