BCS announces SASE webinar

UK Cyber Security Council

The British Computer Society has opened registrations for its webinar on Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) – a relatively new addition to the world of cyber security and cyber skills.

For those unfamiliar with SASE, it's a fusion of a variety of networking and security concepts. As security vendor Palo Alto Networks puts it: “SASE is the convergence of wide area networking, or WAN, and network security services like CASB, FWaaS and Zero Trust, into a single, cloud-delivered service model”.

The session will be presented by Cisco technical specialist Luke Hebditch, and will take place on 1 April 2021 at 3pm. It will begin with how the speaker came into cyber security in general, and his current Cisco role in particular, then go on to discuss what SASE is and how it fits into enterprise architectures.

Registrations are open at the BCS’s web site.
