Why be a member?
Membership of the Council and participation in its activities is open to any organisation with an interest in promoting, supporting and developing the cyber security profession.
Uniquely supported by the UK Government and with a Board of experienced industry professionals, the UK Cyber Security Council will play a central role in driving the cyber security industry forwards, through its member organisations.
Attend unique events, complete with guest speakers delivering keynotes on key industry topics and trends. Participate as delegates, presenters or sponsors, and enjoy preferential rates at partner events, including some of the UK’s largest.
The Council was commissioned by the UK Government, which continues to support and promote our work. The Government's approach - to supporting innovation within the industry - is at the very heart of our Members’ project work.
Our unique, member-driven/sponsored, academic-practitioner perspective, with strong UK Government support, provides Members with holistic sector-knowledge across the UK and further. Members are truly recognised as ‘thought-leaders’.
As a Member of the Council, you'll have significant influence over the development of professional standards in cyber security for the whole of the UK. Members' staff are eligible to be part of the committees and working groups which carry out the work of the Council, and are always encouraged to contribute to the Council's strategy and policy development.
The Council is co-developing industry standards and codes of ethics for the cyber security profession, and is codifying qualifications, professional attainment and roles. Members conforming to these standards will be recognised as among the very best the industry has to offer, able to proudly display the Council’s logo.
Publications on the cyber security market, the cyber security industry and even cutting-edge cyber security research are not just available to Members, they are co-developed by all Members. Studies will be led by key industry figures, who will seek out Members’ views and opinions and feed them back to the UK Government’s policy work.
Being a member of the UK cyber security profession’s premier body adds to the credibility of your organisation and its staff. Your organisation's association with industry innovation, exposure to new thinking and to diverse organisations, and engagement in committees, all increase the value of your offer to new clients and staff.
The membership application form and associated information will be sent via email to applicants. The information you provide will enable us to determine your organisation's membership category and associated fees, which will be communicated to you following assessment.
